Old Lady Says She Slapped Young Woman Over Bad Language: Cops
The young woman claimed the old lady was actually upset about barking dogs, police said.
JOLIET, IL — An 81-year-old woman told the law she slapped a 23-year-old houseguest for using for using foul language, police said.
Joan Baker was still charged with battery for the alleged Saturday morning slap at her Southworth Circle home.
The 23-year-old reportedly told police that Baker was actually upset because she let children into the backyard and dogs started barking.

The younger woman was at the far west side residence to visit her boyfriend, who lives there with Baker, police said.
