One Of Joliet's Most Arrested Citizens Gets Arrested At Speedway This Time
Robert Burnett was transported to the Joliet Police booking area, processed, and subsequently taken to the WCADF without further incident.

JOLIET, IL — The Will County court files are filled with multiple criminal cases against 29-year-old Joliet citizen Robert Burnett. On Labor Day weekend, Burnett found himself in handcuffs yet again, at the Speedway gas station on Joliet's West Jefferson.
For the fourth time since last November, Joliet police brought him to the Will County Jail. This time, Burnett faces charges of criminal trespass, obstructing or resisting a police officer, possession of drug paraphernalia and violation of conditions of pretrial release.
According to Joliet police spokesman Tizoc Landeros, at approximately 8:30 a.m. Sunday, Joliet officers were on patrol in the 1600 block of Jefferson Street when they spotted Burnett at a local gas station, approaching customers as they pumped gas.

The officer recognized Burnett from a prior contact at the same location about two weeks earlier, when Burnett had been barred from the premises. Upon making eye contact with the officer, Burnett fled on foot but was taken into custody a short time later, police said.
During a search, Landeros said that his fellow officers located a device commonly used to ingest narcotics. Officers also confirmed Burnett was on a Will County Court conditional release, which this arrest violated.
