Outgoing Will County Circuit Clerk Pamela McGuire has endorsed a longtime employee to succeed her.
McGuire is backing her director of operations, Andrea Lynn Chasteen.
“I’m endorsing Andrea Lynn Chasteen for Circuit Clerk, as she brings the blend of energy, hard work, experience and vision to move the Clerk’s office forward in the 21st century,” McGuire said in a press release.

McGuire recently announced she would not seek a sixth term.
Chasteen has worked in the circuit clerk’s office for more than 20 years.

“Customers come first; processing work timely and accurately is my priority in addition to maintaining transparency while utilizing technology to improve efficiencies and keep expenses down,” she said. “Utilizing my experience, knowledge and enthusiasm while serving the public makes me uniquely qualified to serve as your Will County Circuit Clerk.”
Chasteen, a graduate of Lincoln-Way Central, has lived in Frankfort for twenty-six years.
