Juvenile From Morris Dies On Interstate 80 After Being Hit By Semi-Truck: Coroner
The Illinois State Police was the lead agency overseeing the investigation.

MORRIS, IL — Grundy County Coroner John Callahan’s Office issued a press release on Monday afternoon confirming that a pedestrian and semi-incident occurred early Monday morning that claimed the life of a juvenile from Morris.
The incident is under investigation by Callahan’s Office and the Illinois State Police. No further details will be released on this incident. Assisting agencies were Morris Police and Morris Fire/EMS, the coroner's office noted.
The incident happened at the Lisbon Road overpass. Joliet's news radio station, WJOL reported that the juvenile jumped from the overpass and landed on a semi.

Morris police posted a Facebook announcement indicating that I-80 westbound is now shut down at the exit 112. All westbound traffic is being sent to Route 47 and "there will be A LOT of traffic in town for an unknown amount of time as an investigation is being conducted on I-80. Please avoid the area."
