Phony Cable Guy Steals All of the Cable Boxes From Joliet Woman's Home
He said he was there to fix the cable, then took all the cable boxes when the woman's boyfriend didn't have enough money.

The phony cable guy — a man about 60-years-old, 5-foot-10 with a medium build, dark blond hair, a beard and a mustache — showed up at the woman’s Ray May Drive home about 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.
The woman was not home, but her 50-year-old boyfriend, who was doing some repair work, answered the door when the cable guy came calling.
The cable guy identified himself as a Comcast employee, said he was there to fix the cable, and explained that the job would cost $700.
The boyfriend told the man he did not have $700 and the “Comcast employee then said he would have to take all the cable boxes from the residence, which he proceeded to do,” police said. “The employee then left the area in a tan four-door sedan vehicle.”
Some time later, the boyfriend let the homeowner know about the visit and how she no longer had any cable boxes. She told him she had not requested any repairs.
“When the homeowner called Comcast a representative stated that they did not send anyone to that residence,” police said.
