Pictures In The Time Of Coronavirus: Will County Callout
Do you have photos to lift your neighbors' spirits or share their struggles amid the coronavirus crisis? Share them with Patch!
WILL COUNTY, IL — Earlier on Friday, professional photographer Lauren Powe came forward to Patch to share her haunting photos of a shut down Plainfield, emptied of people. The images were so striking that we decided we wanted to see more. So here is a callout: if anyone in Will County has any photos of their communities or their lives amid coronavirus that they would like to share, let us know. Happy, sad, personal, societal: send them all to your local patch editor via email, and we'll post them here for the neighborhood to see.
The first - and thus far, only - set of photos belongs to Lauren Powe, whose work inspired this callout. Her series 'Plainfield During Covid19' is shot entirely in grayscale and contrasts eerie emptiness with images of hope.
