Plainfield Man Charged With Threatening To Go On Shooting Spree Outside High School
The Plainfield man allegedly threatened to shoot "whoever came around his apartment" but really just had a toy gun.

A local man was charged with setting off a panic by threatening to “shoot whoever came around his apartment,” which happens to be across the street from Plainfield Central High School.
Timothy Traver, 64, was charged with both felony and misdemeanor disorderly conduct in connection with the Sept. 2 incident.
Traver called 911 and told the dispatcher he had a gun and was “going to shoot whoever came around his apartment,” according to a criminal complaint filed Thursday in Will County court.

Traver then emerged from his apartment with a “realistic looking toy handgun,” which was sufficient to “alarm or disturb” both Plainfield Central students and residents of his apartment complex, the complaint said.
Traver’s bond was set at $3,000.
