Plainfield Woman Injured in Motorcycle Wreck Claims Discarded Grass Clippings Caused Crash: Lawsuit
The woman is suing the man she says was driving the motorcycle and the couple she accused of dumping the grass in the street.
A woman injured in a motorcycle wreck has sued not only the man she says was driving the bike, but also the Channahon couple she accused of dumping the grass clippings that allegedly caused the crash.
Kelsi Schrock, 24, of Plainfield was riding on the back of a motorcycle driven by 31-year-old Naperville resident Eric Zetterlof when they wrecked on Leslie Drive in Channahon in October 2013, the lawsuit said.
Zetterlof was negligent and to blame for the crash, according to the lawsuit, but so was the Channahon couple who allegedly dumped grass clippings in the street.

Zetterlof lost control of the motorcycle “when he struck a mound of grass clippings that had been dumped in the roadway” on Leslie Drive, the suit said.
The suit accuses Channahon residents Steven Renison and Christie Renison of dumping the grass in the street and says it caused an “unreasonably dangerous condition that involved an unreasonable risk of harm to those on the roadway.”
