Police Find Accused Burglars Hunkered in Joliet Basement

Joliet police say two young men broke into a local home early Friday morning.

Joliet police arrested two men early Friday morning who they say were hiding in the lower level of a local home they had just broken into.

An alarm called police to a 4:36 a.m. residential burglary in the 1200 block of Morgan Street, according to a Herald News report. Officers set up a perimeter, including canine units, after seeing a shattered window in the back of the home and then, "announced for whoever was inside to come out," the story said.

They later entered the home and reportedly found Ahmad Parks, 20, of Romeoville, and Jawan Hall, 18, of Joliet, hiding in the basement.
