Police Officer Injured in Crash
The officer was taken to Presence St. Joseph Medical Center.

JOLIET, IL — A Joliet police officer was injured in a Wednesday afternoon crash.
The officer was pulling out of the St. Joe’s Park parking lot with his overhead lights and sirens activated shortly after 3 p.m. when he was T-boned by a car driven by an 82-year-old man, police said.
The impact of the collision pushed the squad car into a utility pole.
The officer suffered minor injuries and was transported to Presence St. Joseph Medical Center, police said.
No citations had been issued in connection with the crash by late Wednesday afternoon.
