Arrested For His 3rd DUI By Channahon Police, Joliet Has Warrant Out For His Arrest

JOLIET, IL — In addition to being picked up by his local Channahon Police Department for a third offense DUI charge, now the Joliet Police Department is after Channahon resident Shaun Cailey — but the Joliet case does not involve allegations surrounding alcohol use.

On Aug. 8, Will County Judge Tom Slazyk issued a warrant for the Joliet police to arrest Cailey on theft charges, stemming from a Joliet incident on July 14. Cailey, who is 36 years old, comes from the 25200 block of West McMillin Drive in Channahon.

The theft complaint from Joliet indicates that Cailey took control over property from a woman, being her pharmaceutical medications, with the intent to deprive her permanently of the use or benefit of the said property.

In addition to the Joliet case, Cailey faces multiple counts of aggravated driving under the influence out of Channahon. According to the complaint, Cailey's blood was 0.08 or more when Cailey drove a Ford vehicle on Navajo Drive in Channahon on July 2, and the defendant has past DUI convictions from Dec. 31, 2010 in Will County and April 4, 2017 in LaSalle County and "said violation being a third violation," Will County prosecutors declared in their court filing.
