Pregnant Joliet Woman Suffers Blow To Head, Joliet Man Ends Up In Jail: English
Officers returned to the 500 block of Emmett Street at 4:19 p.m. that same day and placed Victor Zavala into custody without incident.

JOLIET, IL — The Joliet Police Department made more domestic violence arrests over the weekend, taking 35-year-old Abe Street resident Victor Zavala into custody at the Will County Jail on charges of domestic battery and aggravated battery.
Zavala also spent time in the jail in 2021, 2019 and 2018.
According to Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English, at 1:10 a.m. on Sunday, his fellow officers responded to a residence in the 500 block of Emmett Street for a domestic disturbance.

Zavala is accused of striking the woman in the head while he drove her around the central part of Joliet, the arrest report showed. Officers learned that the victim was one month pregnant. Zavala then left the victim at the Emmett Street address and left in his vehicle.
When the officers returned to the 500 block of Emmett Street at 4:19 p.m. Sunday, they placed Zavala into custody without incident. He was processed at the Joliet Police Department and then transferred to the Will County Adult Detention Facility.
