Price Drop: Syl's Restaurant And Lounge Now Under $1 Million
Following the unexpected death of owner Don "Duke" Williams, Maureen Williams closed Syl's. The Rockdale restaurant remains for sale.

ROCKDALE, IL — One of the Will County region's most iconic restaurants has fallen on hard times and efforts to find a new buyer have remained unsuccessful. In August, Joliet Patch broke the news that the Syl's Restaurant and Lounge on Rockdale's Moen Avenue was on the real estate market and the owners were seeking $1.1 million.
However, not one person came forward to purchase Syl's at $1.1 million. As a result of the cold reception from prospective buyers, Caton Commercial Real Estate Group has lowered their asking price. As a result, Syl's can be all yours for the new price of $999,990.
The real estate agent trying to sell the property is Randy Petri.

"It is with a heavy heart that we share that we are closing our doors under the current management. We thank you for allowing us to be such a special part of your lives over the years. We hope the memories shared with us will live on in your hearts," Williams announced on the Syl's Facebook page.
