Raid on Ex-Con’s Joliet Home Turns Up Pistol: Cops

JOLIET, IL — A Monday night raid on the Joliet home of an ex-convict turned up a pistol, police said.

Police obtained a search warrant for the Girard Boulevard residence of 23-year-old Martez Doss and raided it shortly before 8 p.m. Monday.

Officers from the department’s tactical unit, narcotics unit and community policing team searched the house and found a pistol in the living room, police said.

Doss, who is on parole, was taken to the Will County jail.
