Rifle Found Inside Stolen U-Haul Truck: Joliet Police
Joliet police conducted a traffic stop in the 300 block of South Chicago Street and before making the arrest of Marco Jasso-Camargo, 38.

JOLIET, IL — A 38-year-old Joliet resident, Marco Jasso-Camargo, was arrested and released on a Notice to Appear in connection with a U-Haul truck stolen from Manhattan and there was a rifle inside the vehicle, according to Joliet police.
As a result of the incident, Jasso was arrested by Joliet police on charges of possession of a stolen motor vehicle and unlawful use of a weapon.

On April 17, 2024, at 10:21 p.m., Joliet police saw a U-Haul truck near South Chicago Street and McDonough Street and learned that the U-Haul had been previously reported stolen out of Manhattan.
Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 300 block of South Chicago and Jasso- Camargo was taken into custody without incident after he was identified as the driver.

Upon search of the U-Haul, Joliet police recovered a rifle from the cargo portion of the truck. Officers determined that Jasso-Camargo held a revoked FOID card.
