JOLIET — The Joliet Police Department latest call for service at the former Evergreen Terrace public housing apartments resulted in an arrest for 21-year-old Yasmine Odumuyiwa, who was arrested and released on a Notice to Appear on charges of aggravated battery to a peace officer.

According to Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English, at 12:28 a.m. May 11, an officer working a special assignment detail at Riverwalk Homes saw a group of people in the parking lot near 362 North Broadway Street who appeared as if they were about to fight.

Police say the officer saw Odumuyiwa approaching a man while screaming at him.
