Romeoville Strangler Arrested: Cops

The Romeoville man was charged with strangling a teen on the same day the young man died.

ROMEOVILLE, IL — A Romeoville man was arrested for allegedly strangling a teen last year.

Chris Guzman, 20, was booked into the Will County jail on a charge of aggravated battery. Guzman strangled 19-year-old Dyante Randolph on May 15, according to a criminal complaint on file in Will County court.

Randolph died on the same day he was allegedly strangled by Guzman, according to his obituary.

Guzman had been locked up in the Sawyer County, Wisconsin, jail, court papers said.

Guzman’s bond was set at $100,000.
