“I’m not able to provide any information at this time, as there is no public record basis upon which to speak,” Hyde said Tuesday.

Federal records show no case against Bonds or reason why he would be incarcerated and held for the FBI. The Bolingbrook police did not respond to questions about Bonds’ arrest.

Bonds was released from state prison in March. He did time for theft and obstructing justice.

Bonds was arrested in 2011 for allegedly ripping off people who were trying to sell things on Craigslist. Bonds and another man made arrangements to meet the sellers, but then stole the property instead of buying it, CBS Chicago reported. Bonds and the other man then allegedly attempted to sell the stolen property on Craigslist.

A woman answering the phone at Bonds’ home declined to discuss why he was jailed.
