Serial Liar Locked Up: Cops

He twice lied about his house getting burglarized, police said.

ROMEOVILLE, IL — A Romeoville man wanted for allegedly calling the cops twice in less than two weeks and lying about somebody breaking into his house has been apprehended, police said.

David Muzzey, 56, was booked into the Will County jail Tuesday afternoon on two counts of disorderly conduct in connection with his alleged false reports to the law.

Muzzey first called the Will County Sheriff’s Department and claimed his Jacquie Avenue home had been burglarized on June 7, then went ahead and did it again on June 18, according to a criminal complaint on file in Will County court.

Muzzey’s bond had been previously set at $10,000.
