Sexual Predator Allegedly Lurked Around Lockport School

The former Joliet resident had previously pleaded guilty to a sex crime.

LOCKPORT, IL — A sexual predator allegedly slipped inside a Lockport elementary school last month.

Aldo Guerra, 32, entered Taft school Feb. 23 “when he knew persons under the age of 18 would be present in the building or on the grounds,” according to a criminal complaint on file in Will County court.

The warrant for the Crest Hill resident’s arrest carries a $5,000 bond.

Guerra was living in Joliet when he was charged with the aggravated criminal sexual abuse of a 14-year-old in April 2004. He was sentenced to 30 months of probation.

Guerra is listed as a sexual predator on the state police sex offender registry.
