Silver Cross Lets Man With 'Nowhere To Go' Stick Around, He Attacks Security Guard: Cops

The Joliet man was treated at the hospital but had nowhere to go after, police said, until he went to jail.

NEW LENOX, IL — A Joliet man with nowhere to go was allowed to stick around Silver Cross after he was treated at the hospital Wednesday night, and he repaid the favor by causing a scene and attacking a security guard, police said.

Jeremy Nondorf, 36, had gone to the hospital and was treated for an undisclosed condition. After he was released from care, he “informed security staff that he had nowhere to go,” police said.

“The security staff allowed Nondorf to stay in a room until morning as long as he remained quiet,” police said, but “Nondorf became disruptive, harassing patients and staff.”

His welcome worn out, security reportedly ordered Nondorf — who appeared to be intoxicated — to leave, but he refused to go.

“While the security staff was dealing with Nondorf he became enraged and struck one of the security staff in the jaw with his elbow,” police said.

Nondorf was taken to the Will County jail and remained in custody Thursday morning.
