Skimmer Caught on Video: Cops

The crooks stole more than $10,000 from multiple victims, police said.

JOLIET, IL — One member of a cash card-skimming crew was captured by a surveillance camera at a west side car wash, police said, and the cops are looking for someone to turn him in.

The crooks placed a skimming device in an ATM at the Delta Sonic on West Jefferson Street last month, police said, and stole the information from cash cards.

The thieves re-encoded new cash cards with the stolen information and withdrew money from ATMs in 7-Elevens throughout the Chicago area.
