Slaying In Crest Hill: Victim Shot Multiple Times

Police found the male victim lying on the ground on Elizabeth Court on Saturday afternoon.

CREST HILL, IL — A male victim who was shot multiple times died of his injuries Saturday afternoon, Crest Hill police said.

Officers responded to the 1100 block of Elizabeth Court at 3:12 p.m. and found the victim lying on the ground, according to police. He was taken to St. Joe's hospital, where he died of his injuries.

Police said the victim's name is not being released until proper notification is made to his family by the Will County Coroner's Office.

The slaying is under investigation by Crest Hill police with the assistance of the Will/Grundy Major Crimes Task Force. Anyone who witnessed the incident or has video related to the shooting is asked to contact Det. Steen at 815-741-5115.
