JOLIET, IL — School officials with Joliet Township High School District 204 want everyone who attends Joliet West and Joliet Central to know there are safety concerns associated with Monday's upcoming total solar eclipse.

According to District 204, "there are associated safety concerns with viewing an eclipse that we want to make aware of because portions of the eclipse will take place during periods 6 to 8 and dismissal. We ask that you talk to your student about avoiding looking directly at the sun during any portion of the eclipse."

Eclipse eye safety information from NASA is available through the following link.
