Stepping Stones Arrest At Theodore Street Facility Leaves Defendant Smiling For Mugshot: JPD

JOLIET, IL — A 46-year-old Joliet man who is residing at the Stepping Stones treatment center on Theodore Street was arrested over the weekend following a violent attack upon one of the staff members.
Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English said that Jason Linkous was arrested and released on a notice to appear at Will County's Courthouse on battery charges.
According to English, at 8:28 p.m. Sept. 13, officers responded to the Stepping Stones on Theodore for a battery crime.

English said his fellow officers learned that Linkous was a resident at the facility and had grown angry and attacked a male staff member by charging at and grabbing the shoulder area of the employee. Linkous was detained by others until the officers arrived and placed him into custody without incident.
