Stoned Mom Gets Arrested After Calling Cops and Lying About Guy Molesting Her Kid: Police

JOLIET, IL — A Bolingbrook mom called the cops on a guy she went with to West Park to smoke pot and said he molested her daughter, but got arrested herself when it turned out she was lying and too high to take care of her kid, police said.

Yesenia Moreira, 25, took her 3-year-old daughter along when she went to the park with a 23-year-old man to smoke marijuana Wednesday night, police said.

Moreira and the man left the child unattended in the park while they smoked in a 1997 Dodge Ram pickup truck, police said.

After a while, they got out of the pickup and joined the child, who was running around unsupervised, police said.

The man put the child on a swing and was pushing her when Moreira walked in front of it, police said. The man reportedly grabbed the child so the swing would not hit Moreira.

Moreira then called the cops and told them the man touched her daughter inappropriately, police said.

Officers arrived, determined that was a lie, and also figured out Moreira was too intoxicated to take care of her daughter, police said.

Moreira was arrested on a charge of endangering the life or health of a child. She was later released on her own recognizance.
