'Stunning Transformation': D'Amore Banquet Hall Opens On Republic Ave

JOLIET, IL — Nine months after Nikos Lippas opened his Niko's Catering business on Joliet's west side inside the back kitchen at 113 Republic Avenue, the popular Joliet restaurant owner said he has more exciting news to share.

"I am absolutely thrilled to share my exciting news with you all," Lippas informed Joliet Patch. "The Republic Banquet Hall has undergone a stunning transformation and is now officially known as the D'Amore Banquet Hall. With its gorgeous new renovations, it's the perfect place to make your special events unforgettable."

This Sunday, Lippas will be having an open house from 1 to 4 p.m. People are encouraged to stop by Sunday afternoon to see the improvements the owner of Niko's Catering has made to the banquet hall since he took it over.

"Whether it's a cozy family gathering, a work event, a beautiful wedding, a fun-filled baby shower, or a grand quinceañera, I'm ready to make it happen for you," Lippas remarked.

How did Lippas come up with the new name of D'Amore Banquet Hall?

"Because we're all about love. We love what we do and that's why we came out with this name," he explained.

D'Amore Banquet Hall can accommodate 50 guests to 350 people, Lippas said. He is now booking reservations for the rest of 2024. "Yes, we have events coming up," he said.

Special event accommodations include foot, tables, chairs, linens, a stage and head table, plus access to the bar and servers.

He said that Nikos Catering is able to furnish the food, which includes American, Greek and Mexican cuisine offerings.

"Entertainment packages with DJs and bands are also available.
