Taste Of Joliet's Biggest Crowd Ever For Country Music All-Star Lineup? 22 Photos
Joliet's Park District drew a record or near record turnout on Saturday for the country music night, a lineup featuring Brett Eldredge.

JOLIET, IL — Billy Corgan and his Machines of God band rocked Taste of Joliet on Friday night, putting on a memorable and splendid show, but Saturday night's turnout for country music night drew several thousand more people, — and Saturday's crowd was so big that Joliet Park District director Brad Staab said it may turn out to be a record night for a single-day attendance record.
"Yes, absolutely," remarked WJOL news host Scott Slocum, who serves a master of ceremonies for the Taste of Joliet's Joliet Park District presentation and announcement of the main sponsorships.
Despite 98 temperatures and the Joliet Fire Department paramedics constantly carrying stretchers into the Memorial Stadium concert venue because of spectators overheating, thousands of country music fans flocked to Joliet's Memorial Stadium on West Jefferson Street to watch an all-star music cast assembled by Staab: Gabby Barrett, Dylan Scott and Brett Eldredge.
