Teen Drug Dealers Robbed at Gunpoint in Joliet Cemetery

The two teens were in a car parked at Mound Cemetery.

Two teenage drug dealers were robbed at gunpoint in Mound Cemetery Wednesday evening.

The young man and woman, ages 19 and 17, were in a car parked at the cemetery about 6 p.m. when a blue Scion pulled up on them.

“The driver of the Scion got out and approached the driver with a handgun and stated ‘Give me your money,’” police said.

“When the 19 year old victim said he did not have any money the offender ordered both victims out of the vehicle,” police said. “The offenders took the male victim’s wallet and a cell phone and (a) jacket from the female victim.”

The crooks ordered the teens to “Get out of here,” police said, and they obliged by running away.

Police said the couple was waiting for a friend at the cemetery and that they were selling drugs before they were robbed.
