Teens Charged With Beating at Cass Street Gas Station

JOLIET, IL — Two Joliet teens were jailed Thursday in connection with a savage attack last month at a Cass Street gas station.

Elijah Martin and Demarco Owens, both 18 and from Joliet, were arrested and booked into the Will County jail early Thursday.

Martin and Owens attacked a man at the Shell station on Cass at Henderson Avenue March 6, according to a criminal indictment.

The indictment said two other, unidentified attackers were involved in the assault as well.

Bond was set at $150,000 each of Martin and Owens. They are scheduled to appear in court May 4.
