Mayors Want Jennifer Bertino-Tarrant To Win Re-Election : Endorsement

JOLIET — Will County Executive Jennifer Bertino-Tarrant announced on Wednesday morning that she is proud to announce the endorsement of a bipartisan coalition of six mayors and village presidents throughout Will County.

The endorsements come from Joliet Mayor Terry D’Arcy, Romeoville Mayor John Noak, Wilmington Mayor Ben Dietz, Channahon Village President Missey Moorman Schumacher, Shorewood Mayor Clarence C. "CC" DeBold, and Plainfield Mayor John Argoudelis, reflecting a broad base of support from community leaders across the county.

“I am honored to have the support of these dedicated leaders who share my vision for a prosperous and vibrant Will County,” said Bertino-Tarrant. “Their endorsements underscore the collaborative spirit we’ve fostered, aimed at addressing the needs of our communities and ensuring a bright future for all residents. I look forward to continuing our work, together.”

Pursuing a second term as County Executive, Jennifer Bertino-Tarrant noted that she seeks to continue her work in addressing crucial issues such as infrastructure development, economic growth, sustainability and community safety, ensuring Will County remains a thriving hub of opportunity.

Joliet Mayor Terry D’Arcy praised Bertino-Tarrant’s leadership, stating, “Jennifer has been an incredible partner to Joliet, helping spur our local economy through key investments in critical infrastructure and supporting city priorities, like our downtown revitalization efforts. She has consistently demonstrated her love and support for Joliet, especially during times of need. We partnered to provide needed assistance like food and supplies during our recovery from the summer storms and her eviction-diversion program is helping keep families in their homes. I’m proud to give Jennifer my support.”

Romeoville Mayor John Noak commented, “Her collaborative approach and dedication to strategic development have greatly benefited our municipalities. It’s been a privilege to work with Jennifer to expand public transportation access to PACE and help save taxpayer dollars through government consolidation. I am confident in her continued leadership and support.”

Wilmington Mayor Ben Dietz highlighted Bertino-Tarrant’s responsiveness and effective governance. “Jennifer understands the unique challenges our communities face and consistently takes a proactive approach to finding solutions. Together, we expanded the Access Will County public transportation system to serve Wilmington seniors and persons with disabilities, connecting them to jobs, human services and essential needs. I support Jennifer because she helps build healthy and thriving communities.”

Channahon Village President Missey Moorman Schumacher noted, “Jennifer’s focus on building partnerships and fostering unity across Will County makes her the ideal leader to guide us into the future.”

Shorewood Mayor Clarence "CC" DeBold remarked, “Her advocacy for infrastructure enhancements and public safety improvements has been instrumental in advancing our community initiatives. Jennifer has listened to our long-term plans and works with us collaboratively. I am proud to endorse her re-election.”

Plainfield Mayor John Argoudelis concluded, “I want to work with people who get things done. Jennifer’s proactive approach and deep understanding of local government provide the tools that enable her to continue making significant strides for our county.”

Bertino is running against Republican challenger Chuck Maher in the Nov. 5 general election.
