Truck Almost Makes It Under Cass Street Railroad Bridge

JOLIET, IL — A tractor-trailer very nearly made it under a railroad bridge spanning Cass Street but still got stuck Wednesday afternoon.

The top of the shipping container on the trailer was shorn off by the bridge just east of Scott Street about 1 p.m.

The left lane of Cass Street was blocked as a crew worked to extricate the truck and trailer.
