Video: Joliet Man’s Arrest Caught on Video, Friend Claims ‘Police Brutality’

The Joliet man was arrested and taken to jail.

JOLIET, IL — A Joliet man’s arrest was captured in a Facebook video by a friend who claimed he was subjected to police brutality.

The post said:

“Yesterday my friend was walking me back from mcdonalds on cass st and as we were walking with other friends doing no harm to anyone as even kids were playing outside police pulled up on us and grabbed my friend crazy cuz he seen the cop cars n walked the opposite direction. As iwas til i seen him get beat brutally there are more videos and i encourage everyone in JOLIET to share this POLICE BRUTALITY from WILL COUNTY these officers are the sane people who are suppose to serve n protect us yet take the power to there head and do what they want THIS STOPS NOW HELP MY FRIEND OUT BY SHARING THIS ......LETS RAISE AWARENESS AND BE SAFE FROM ‘OUR PROTECTORS’”

The author of the post, Celena Reyes, tagged it #JUSTICE4DAE. Reyes has yet to respond to a message requesting she speak about the incident.

Dae appears to be Dae Roberson. The 18-year-old was arrested on charges of aggravated battery to a police officer, aggravated resisting a police officer and obstructing a police officer shortly before 6:30 p.m. Monday on Benton Street. Roberson was taken to the Will County jail.

Roberson remains in custody. His bond was set at $50,000.
