Video: Stranger Smashes Window, Menaces Elderly Woman Recovering From Surgery
The elderly woman's son has no idea why the woman was bothering his mom.

JOLIET, IL — An elderly woman recovering from surgery was harassed at her Joliet home by a stranger who smashed her front window.
“I think they were looking for somebody. I think they were at the wrong address,” said the woman’s son, Anthony Williams.
Williams’ security system caught the attack on video, and now he wants to know who broke the front window of his Third Avenue home and bothered his 76-year-old mother.

“It was scary because my mom came to the door,” said Williams, who was driving his wife to school in Chicago at the time of the attack.
“I’m mad as hell,” Williams said. “I’ve been living in this neighborhood for over 30 years, and I’ve never had an incident like this before.”

The window-breaker had a box-cutter in her hand when she pounded on the glass, Williams said. Whatever she was holding, she appeared to slip it into her bra as she skulked away from the scene of the crime.

Police said a witness provided Williams' mother with a description of the car the woman drove away from the house and also a license plate number. The woman left in a black Chrysler, the witness reportedly said.
Williams said he is very familiar with the neighborhood he grew up in and where he still lives — and that he does not recognize the woman who broke his window.
“All kinds of things go through your mind,” he said. “I’m going to be honest with you. I really want to whoop her ass. At least get the right address."
