Violence Outside Troy Middle School Prompts Joliet Police Presence

Such behavior is entirely unacceptable and will not be tolerated by the Troy 30-C School District, according to the administraition.

JOLIET — Adults and students were involved in a violent confrontation on Tuesday afternoon resulting in a beefed Joliet police officer presence at Troy Middle School on Theodore Street, the school administration of superintendent Paul Schrik announced on Wednesday.

Joliet Patch produced a separate article about the violent encounter, leading to the arrests of 46-year-old Joliet parent Alfred Mabry, 46, and 34-year-old Tamika Robinson of Bolingbrook.

"Unfortunately at dismissal today, a large physical altercation took place outside of Troy Middle School that involved both students and their family members," Troy school officials announced on Facebook.

The Joliet Police Department was called to the school and broke up the fighting "and ensuring the safety of those on the district's property. On behalf of the district, I thank the Joliet Police Department for its officers' prompt assistance and the District will continue to cooperate with the department during the course of any investigation."

Troy's statement on the matter indicated that "those involved in the incident will be disciplined and or kept off the district's property for the foreseeable future in accordance with state law."
