Walmart Gun Incident On Jefferson Street Leads To 3 Misdemeanor Charges: Glasgow
The Will County State's Attorney's Office filed criminal charges last week against Marcell Jarvis.

JOLIET, IL — The Will County State's Attorney's Office has brought three aggravated assault charges against Joliet west side resident Marcell Jarvis in connection with an incident involving a handgun at the Walmart store property at 2424 W. Jefferson St. The charges were filed last week in connection with the July 11 incident.
The complaint indicates that Jarvis displayed a black handgun at a man, placing the victim in reasonable apprehension of receiving a battery. The second aggravated assault charge accuses Jarvis of displaying the same black gun at a woman, putting her in reasonable apprehension of receiving a battery.
As for the third crime, the complaint indicates that Jarvis displayed a black handgun at the Walmart public property, 2424 W. Jefferson St., thereby placing the male victim in reasonable apprehension of receiving a battery.

Jarvis is not being taken into custody by the Joliet police for the incident. Instead, a summons was mailed to him from one of the Will County judges informing Jarvis of his Sept. 11 court date in Courtroom 302. Jarvis's address is listed in the 2900 block of Joliet's Heritage Drive.
