White Castle Damage Inside Restaurant: Joliet Police Arrest Man 8 Months Later
Michael Honiotes was placed into custody without incident after an officer observed him walking in the 1700 block of West Jefferson Street.

JOLIET, IL — It took nearly eight months, but the Joliet Police Department has announced the arrest of a 56-year-old Morris resident in connection with criminal damage to property at Joliet's White Castle restaurant at Larkin and Jefferson.
In recent days, Michael Honiotes was arrested and released on a notice to appear at the Will County Courthouse on criminal damage to property charges.
According to police spokesman Dwayne English, at 3:34 a.m. Dec. 12, officers responded to White Castle at 1803 W. Jefferson St. for a report of a man damaging items in the restaurant. The officers learned that the man, later identified as Honiotes, used a permanent marker to deface and damage a soda machine and table, police noted.

The officers later obtained an arrest warrant for Honiotes on March 24, for criminal damage to property. Then on Saturday, around 11 a.m., Honiotes was placed into custody without incident after an officer observed him back in Joliet walking in the 1700 block of West Jefferson Street.
