Will County Cooling Centers List: Beat The Extreme Heat

It's dangerously hot outside. There are lots of cooling centers in Will County offered to those who need to take a break from the heat.

WILL COUNTY, IL — It's dangerously hot during the day in Will County, with heat indexes reaching over 110, according to the National Weather Service. Will County has plenty of cooling centers offered to those who might be without air conditioning.

The NWS's Chicago branch says the highest temperatures in the area will be 95 to 100 degrees during this heat wave. The excessive heat watch runs Thursday through Saturday.

The heat index, which takes into account humidity, makes it feel even hotter. Chicago and suburbs, including Joliet, will see heat indexes of 102 to 113 degrees.
