Victim Roughed Up, Taken By Ambulance To St. Joe's As Woman Arrested: Joliet Police
The child did not appear to have any visible injuries but was transported to the hospital by the Joliet Fire Department as a precaution.

JOLIET, IL — The Joliet Police Department announced the arrest of 25-year-old Hailey Reed in connection with allegations that she violently attacked a 59-year-old woman, putting the woman in St. Joe's hospital because of the injuries.
Police spokesman Dwayne English said that Reed is charged with aggravated domestic battery, possession of a controlled substance, criminal damage to property and interference with the reporting of domestic violence. She's now in the Will County Jail.
The arrest happened on Saturday night.

According to English, at 8:40 p.m., officers responded to an apartment in the 900 block of Lois Place for a domestic disturbance. Reed was outside the apartment building holding a 1-year-old child. Officers also saw a 59-year-old woman who had a serious injury to her leg.
English said that Reed, who does not currently have custody of her son, had earlier encountered the victim and the little boy at a local business. A short time later, police say Reed arrived at the victim’s apartment, where a physical altercation occurred. The victim was a family member caring for the child, English said.

"It is alleged that during the incident, Reed repeatedly struck the victim while she was on the ground. Officers observed significant injuries to the victim’s head and face. The victim’s leg injury is believed to have occurred when she fell during the altercation," English announced.
The victim was taken by Joliet Fire Department ambulance to St. Joseph Medical Center for treatment. During the booking process, Joliet's officers recovered suspected ecstasy from Reed’s belongings, her arrest report showed.
