Shorewood Criminal Lurks Inside Joliet's Parking Deck, Vows To Kill Woman In Her Car: Joliet PD
David Gregory of Shorewood was unarmed at the time of arrest, Joliet police revealed.

JOLIET, IL — A 32-year-old Shorewood man who has been the focus of several Joliet Patch arrest stories in recent years was arrested again this week by the Joliet police in connection with an incident that happened overnight at the city's downtown parking garage.
Joliet police said that David Gregory was charged and released on a notice to appear in Will County court on charges of aggravated assault and disorderly conduct.
The woman was not injured during the ordeal.

According to police spokesman Dwayne English, at 12:42 a.m. Tuesday, officers responded to the Ottawa Street Parking Deck for a disturbance. Gregory approached a woman while she was seated in a vehicle in the parking deck and threatened to kill her while making motions with his hands and body as if he was armed with a firearm, English pointed out.
He said the officers found Gregory a short time later in the 400 block of Collins Street, and he was placed into custody without incident. Gregory was unarmed at the time of arrest.

In 2022, Gregory was the focus of a Patch story headlined, "Woman Dragged To Ground In Shorewood: Police."
Shorewood police said David Gregory threw a woman to the ground inside his house after throwing a dining room chair at her and threatening to stab her in the heart. Gregory was booked into the Will County Jail on Monday on charges with aggravated assault and domestic battery, according to Shorewood Deputy Police Chief Eric Allen.
That domestic violence happened around 1:20 p.m. at Gregory's house in the 700 block of South Raven Road, Allen said.
Later that same year, 2022, Gregory was arrested again by Shorewood police in a story headlined, "Shorewood Man Hits Police Officer With Cell Phone: Complaint."
In that arrest, Gregory attacked one of the officers, hitting him in the head with a cell phone, according to the criminal complaint. The Will County State's Attorney's Office of Jim Glasgow filed three charges against Gregory, who lives in the 700 block of South Raven Road. Gregory faces aggravated battery, domestic battery and battery charges. The incident resulting in his arrest happened July 19, 2022.
According to prosecutors, Gregory attacked a woman who is a member of his family or household by pushing her body. When police arrived at his house, Gregory attacked the officer using his cell phone, the charges reflect.
Gregory also spent four days in the Will County Jail in July following a Will County Sheriff's arrest on charges of aggravated domestic battery from a crime in March. Shorewood police also put him in jail in March and in April and he spent four months in the county jail in 2023, his jail logs show. Gregory comes from the 700 block of Shorewood's South Raven Road.
