BEECHER, IL — Bond was set at $500,000 for a Beecher man accused of sexually assaulting a juvenile girl on several occasions, including two incidents that occurred while he was living with the girl's family. The Will County Sheriff's Office said the girl and her mother reported the assaults on April 2, alleging that Michael Takacs, 24, "had inappropriate contact with" the girl on two occasions in 2018.

Police said Takacs was an acquaintance of the family and was living with them at the time of the incident. Takacs, of the 300 block of Mallard Court, is also accused of assaulting the girl on April 1, a day before the family went to police.

The sheriff's office said Takacs was brought in for questioning and made incriminating statements, compounding evidence that was collected.
