LA GRANGE, IL – A La Grange resident on Monday proposed an AI traffic camera for his street, sending tickets to violators.

Resident John Pluto said the street would qualify for such a camera because Sedgwick Park is there.

"We could put a camera there that could give out automatic tickets and that would do traffic surveillance," Pluto told the Village Board.

Pluto lives in the 700 block of East Avenue, which is 40 mph. Across the street is the village of McCook.

"We have no radar on that street. It's a bear to get out of the driveway," said Pluto, who frequently speaks at board meetings. "I really wish you people would entertain the idea."
