'Full Honesty And Love': La Grange Star Student

LA GRANGE, IL – Star Students are found in classrooms, on concert and theater stages and at debate lecterns, and out in the community doing good things to make life better for all of us.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize Star Students, and we’re working to tell the stories of these outstanding kids to their neighbors.

This submission comes from Abeer Arteaga, who nominated Naimah, a Lyons Township High School junior.

Why do you believe the Star local student should be recognized?

Naimah is a kind, compassionate and talented young lady. She works hard every day in her after-school activities, such as Speech and Theater. She is a vocal and active member of both. As a junior, she is on the marketing team for the theater board. She is currently in a production that is student-directed. Her extroverted and bold personality awarded her the best new member award for speech team in her sophomore year. She has achieved student of the month two times in math and English. Naimah is always willing to help and support her peers with full honesty and love. She is my shining star. I'm proud to be her Mother.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the Star local student?

She can light up a room with her beautiful smile.
