Police were called to , 4335 Howard Ave., Western Springs, at around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday where they found the body of a 20-year-old La Grange man hung from a tree. The man was pronounced dead at the scene at 1:22 a.m. Thursday, according to the Cook Country Medical Examiner's Office. Western Springs police said they believe it was an attempt to take his own life. The medical examiner's office has not yet made a ruling on the case, and Western Springs police are investigating, said Western Springs Deputy Chief Brian Budds. A small memorial has already been set up in the park, and friends said today in an email that they are planning to hold a vigil at the park at 5 p.m. today.
