La Grange Native Gets Professor to Move Exam for Cubs' Game
The only problem with a dream trip to the Cubs' wild-card game was an exam the next day.

Fortune favors the bold, and apparently college professors favor Cubs’ fans.
A “perfectly blunt” student at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign became a national hero when he earnestly emailed his professor to explain that his family has tickets to the Cubs’ wild-card game Oct. 7.
The only problem was an exam scheduled for the next day.

Ben Larson, a La Grange native and a 2013 graduate of Lyons Township High School, was rewarded for his efforts with a one-day reprieve from the exam, thanks to the post-game-savoring professor, known only as Dave.
No word if Dave has since been flooded with similar requests. Maybe he’s the real hero of this story.
