LA GRANGE, IL – Nationwide protests over ICE's shooting death of Renee Good last week in Minneapolis extended to La Grange.

On Sunday, demonstrators held a vigil and a silent march in town. They gathered at noon at La Grange Road and Cossitt Avenue.

After speeches and songs, protesters marched north on the east side of La Grange Road to Hillgrove Avenue. They then crossed the street and marched back south to the starting point.

The marchers were reported as staying on the sidewalks and being peaceful.

Nationally, the reaction to Good's death has fallen mainly along partisan lines. Democrats say an ICE agent unnecessarily killed her, while Republicans contend the agent was defending himself against a "domestic terrorist."

ICE said her death occurred during its deportation activities.

Most of the signs pictured at the La Grange demonstration were about ICE. At least one called for the release of the Epstein files. Another said, "They blame immigrants, so you won't blame billionaires."
