La Grange Street's Traffic To Be Studied
The state plans to collect traffic data along the road. This is expected to result in improvements.
LA GRANGE, IL – The state is studying traffic on 47th Street between County Line Road in Hinsdale and East Avenue in La Grange, according to a news release.
The street goes all the way through La Grange.
The goal of the project is to improve the street and reduce the frequency of crashes, Western Springs said in the news release.

The state Department of Transportation has contracted with Civiltech for the project.
The firm plans to collect traffic counts this week at all the major intersections with traffic signals, the news release said.

Traffic data will be tracked for 48 hours on Wednesday and Thursday, with the equipment to be removed Friday, according to the release.
The schedule is weather-dependent.
