La Grange Worker Shares 'Gift Of His Voice'
He is honored for a quarter century of working for the village.

LA GRANGE, IL – Longtime La Grange employee Milo Gogic is credited with playing a big role in water and sewer main repairs.
He is also known for singing opera.
At Monday's Village Board meeting, officials recognized Gogic's 25th anniversary with the village. He is a general utility worker in the public works department.

Gogic has responded to both flooding and weather emergencies day and night.
In recent years, he became a certified arborist. So he has been helpful in the proper pruning and removal of smaller parkway trees around town, according to a village memo.

"Taking this service to the next level, he has also shared the gift of his voice, having sung some opera as well as the National Anthem to the delight of those around him," the memo said.
Gogic said he was proud to work for the village.
"My family is not here, so you guys are my family," Gogic said.
He then sang some opera to the Village Board.
