Lincoln Avenue Railroad Crossing Closes For Maintenance

LA GRANGE, IL — The Lincoln Avenue railroad crossing will be closed for maintenance, according to the village. The village said the Indiana Harbor Belt Railroad plans to remove and replace the track and asphalt pavement at the railroad tracks in order to provide a smoother crossing.

The crossing will be completely closed starting Monday, Oct. 15 through Friday, Oct. 26.

According to the village, signs will be posted in the area designating the detour route for motorists while the crossing is under construction. The detour route for this crossing closure will use the Cossitt Avenue railroad crossing to the south.
