Low Cost Rabies Clinic At Brookfield Village Hall

The first of several Cook County Animal and Rabies Control clinics will be June 4 at Brookfield Village Hall.

BROOKFIELD, IL - Cook County Animal and Rabies Control will be offering low-cost rabies vaccine and microchip at clinics throughout the summer and across the county. The rabies vaccines and microchips will be available to all dogs, cats and ferrets.

The first clinic is on Tuesday, June 4, from 10 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. at Brookfield Village Hall, 8820 Brookfield Ave. The cost of a one-year rabies shot at the clinics is $7 for dogs and cats. A three-year rabies shot is $21. Ferret vaccines, which last one-year, are $9. Only rabies vaccinations are available at the low-cost rabies vaccination clinics.

Microchip implantations are provided at no-cost with a rabies vaccine. The registration of the chip in a national database is $19.95 per animal. Only cash or checks are accepted at the clinics.

Residents must present valid government-issued identification proving Cook County residency at the clinic. A full schedule is posted on the department’s website.

In 2018, Cook County Animal and Rabies Control provided more than 4,000 low-cost rabies vaccines to animals across the County. More than 49,000 animals have been vaccinated since the program began in 2006.
